We are excited to introduce a full-time training program for talented and dedicated young dancers wishing to pursue a career in classical ballet.

Students accepted by private audition only.
Minimum age: 14 years

The program will encompass four full days of Classical Coaching, Pointe, Repertoire, Virtuosity, Character Dance, Body Conditioning/Injury Prevention, Contemporary, Jazz and Pas de Deux.

16 Gold Medalists in ACB examinations!

This year, 16 ABDA students received Gold Medals for marks of 90-100% in their Australian Conservatoire of Ballet examinations. Excellent results!

ABDA Success at “Get the Beat”
Gold Coast Championships

Congratulations to Alissa Kouzmenkov (8 years) and Nae Kojima (12 years) who were finalists in the Gold Coast Dance Championships, held at Sanctuary Cove in October.

Alissa won her Slow Modern Solo to become a Junior Finalist, and Nae won her Classical, Demi-Character and Modern solos to become an Intermediate Finalist.

Nae was awarded Runner-up in the Intermediate Championship and also won the Award for Best Classical Dancer.

Great work Alissa and Nae!

ABDA Award Winners
at Brisbane Eisteddfod

Congratulations to the 8 ABDA soloists who competed in the Brisbane Eisteddfod:
Nae, Amy, Tahlia, Emma, Haylee, Alissa, Kate & Koa.
They all danced beautifully, winning collectively:

5 x 1st placings
2 x 2nd placings
3 x 3rd placings
4 x Very Highly Commended Certificates
3 x Highly Commended Certificates

Special mention to:

Nae Kojima (12 years), who won the Classical Championship and a Special Award for Overall Excellence in Junior Performance,
Amy Wharton (12 years), who won a Special Award for Most Promising Slow Modern Dancer.

Well done girls! We are proud of each and every one of you.

Special Awards at
Brisbane Eisteddfod!

Congratulations to our 10/under and 12/under Eisteddfod groups, who each received the ADJUDICATOR’S CHOICE TROPHY at this years Brisbane Eisteddfod.

The 10/under “Lullaby” Modern and the 12/under “Brandenburg” Classical groups were selected as most outstanding groups of their age category.
